Signage Company from April 2004 – September 2008 - There was 8 staff and the company was barely surviving losing $1000’s of dollars every week with a total annual turnover of $480,000. They had a ranking of around 62 out of 75 franchise stores across Australia & New Zealand. Within 3 months I cut the staff in half and by year’s end we had managed to pay off all serious debt and increased our turnover to $670,000.
At the end of 2006 the company reached the maximum turnover it could handle in the small 100sqm space. The company relocated to an industrial warehouse of 560sqm where I managed and created storage for Vodafone Australia & New Zealand Event Signage. This entailed looking after every event from Vodafone Hero’s events in Hamilton Island, Waratahs, Brumbies & Wallaby’s rugby events, to Formula 1 event in Melbourne. To do this processes needed to be created for the logistics, quality control, manufacturing and storage facilities.
By the 2007 – 2008 Financial Year we had achieved $1,100,000 turnover with no debt and savings to be proud of, smashing the target I was given of $1 million. We were now ranked in the top 5 stores out of now 97 Franchise across Australia & NZ. We achieved this with only 3 full-time staff members, one which was an apprentice and 1 casual while the other top 10 stores had an average of 8 staff members.
