Helen Stewart

I was born in Auckland, New Zealand, the eldest of identical twin girls. I hated school and couldn’t wait to leave.  I wanted to travel so career-wise I took the easy option – Secretarial vs Nursing.

I fulfilled my dream to travel by visiting Australia in 1986 and spent almost 5 years in London.  I travelled extensively during that time and temped doing Secretarial/PA/EA/Office Manager roles with two long-term assignments at St Mary’s Hospital (15 months) and Esso (18 months).

I arrived in Australia in 1993 and continued doing secretarial / office management positions while studying HR; Marketing & Management and a Sports Therapies Diploma, looking for an alternative career, but not finding anything that appealed.  In 2003 my long-term partner and I had a little girl.  I was lucky enough to be a full-time mother until the end of our relationship in December 2004.

In early 2005 I headed up to the Central Coast because I had family and friends up here, and went back to office management because it was all that was available.

They say during the course of our lives we are granted the “opportunity of a lifetime.” It’s a chance that doesn’t come our way very often, and usually one that could result in tremendous benefits for us.

Evolve Printing is my “opportunity of a lifetime”.  I feel the opportunities I will get from being part of this phenomenal company are endless.  It’s an exciting phase in my life, I feel privileged to know Graham, Garry and Kyle, and to be given the opportunity to be part of Evolve Printing.  For me it’s the potential to be able to move forward both professionally and personally.
